Reason for making: Flights' version has no L5 metadata. This version has the appropriate, dynamic L5 to account for changing aspect ratio. Also generated HDR10+.
HDR10+ generating process: HEVC stream was extracted from the source MKV, converted to prores 422HQ (qscale=3), and imported into Davinci Resolve Studio 18.6. Scenes were detected in Resolve. Mastering Display setting was matched to the Base Layer (4000-nit, P3). Output blanking was adjusted to match the IMAX sceneds appropriately (bounced back and forth bewteen 2.40 and 1.78 aspect ratio). HDR10+ analyzed in Resolve and exported. HDR10+ injected into base layer source.
The Bluray and Web source were frame matched (Web-DL was 48 frames behind the BluRay), and DV MaxCLL and Mastering Display metadata were confirmed similar to the Bluray. Web DV extracted, frames synced, L5 metadata adjusted to match the IMAX scenes appropriately. DV injected into the Bluray, and remuxed with audio/subs.
AC-3 (Compatibility Track) was generated with EAC3to from the primary audio track.
