1983 - Mascara (Blu-Ray Remux)
The film "Mascara," directed by Henri Pachard, follows the life of Harriet, a secretary in Manhattan, who lives a repressed existence. After discovering that her boss is involved with a prostitute named Lucy, Harriet gathers the courage to reach out to Lucy in hopes of overcoming her own inhibitions. As their friendship deepens and they eventually move in together, Lucy starts to feel that her identity is being overshadowed by Harriet's growth. The film is a complex psychological drama featuring performances from Lisa Cintrice, Tiffany Clark, Ron Jeremy, Bobby Astyr, and Robert Kerman. It was produced, photographed, and co-directed by Roberta Findlay, with a score by Walter Sear. "Mascara" has been newly restored in 2K for Blu-ray release by Vinegar Syndrome, which includes new interviews with Findlay and co-star Lee Carroll, moderated by historian Casey Scott. The Blu-ray release features a variety of special features, including:
