Note : Do you often wish The Crow was about cars instead of goths, 80s instead of 90s, and with a lead actor who lived on to get kicked off a shitty sitcom for being totally insane, instead of dying in a tragic on-set accident? Then The Wraith is the movie for you (although, this also had a deadly accident during filming, killing a camera operator). Young Charlie Sheen mysteriously returns from the dead with an alien supercar to take revenge on the 80s punk street racing gang that murdered him. Oh, and to get his girlfriend (Sherilyn Fenn) back.
Nick Cassavetes plays a huge bundle of red flags in a leather vest, Randy Quaid (hey, another actor who went totally off the rails later) and Clint Howard have particularly memorable supporting roles, and there's a running "e;joke"e; about a punk mechanic named "e;Skank"e; who keeps drinking and snorting hydraulic fluid and so on to get high (the actors who played Skank and his sidekick Gutterboy actually have their own commentary track, and they're pretty amusing). Also, if you like 80s music, the soundtrack is great.
This remaster looks quite good, clean, decently managed grain, colors could be a little more vivid, perhaps. Commentary tracks are interesting enough.
